The organization of this conference is a direct result of a joint effort by scientific bodies and the Dutch Government. The conference organising committee is composed of representatives from the Department of Urbanism (Environmental Technology and Design Section) at Delft University of Technology and from the National Waste Notification Bureau (LMA) at the Dutch Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management (Rijkswaterstaat).
